Nicknamed the 'Guinean Messi', Ibrahima Traoré has stunned everyone by signing with DJK Gnadental, a club competing in LL Niederrhein-Gr. 1, the equivalent of Germany's sixth division, during this summer transfer window.

  • Ibou Traoré retired at the end of the 2020-2021 season. He is now making a comeback to football after a four-year break from the game.

  • At 37 years old, he will continue his career in Germany, this time with the lower-division club DJK Gnadental, purely for the love of the game.

  • The Villepinte native really made his mark at Borussia M'gladbach, where he scored 11 goals and delivered 16 assists across 132 appearances in all competitions.
  • A former captain of the Guinean national team, he netted 8 goals in 49 matches between 2010 and 2019.
