Nicknamed the 'Guinean Messi', Ibrahima Traoré has stunned everyone by signing with DJK Gnadental, a club competing in LL Niederrhein-Gr. 1, the equivalent of Germany's sixth division, during this summer transfer window.
Here are five things you need to know about the Syli National fans' favorite.
- Ibou Traoré retired at the end of the 2020-2021 season. He is now making a comeback to football after a four-year break from the game.

- At 37 years old, he will continue his career in Germany, this time with the lower-division club DJK Gnadental, purely for the love of the game.
- He spent his entire professional career in Germany, playing for Hertha BSC, FC Augsburg, VfB Stuttgart, and Borussia M'gladbach.

- The Villepinte native really made his mark at Borussia M'gladbach, where he scored 11 goals and delivered 16 assists across 132 appearances in all competitions.
- A former captain of the Guinean national team, he netted 8 goals in 49 matches between 2010 and 2019.
