Infantino Teases Ronaldo’s Possible Role at 2025 Club World Cup
Cristiano Ronaldo’s potential return to top tier competition's making waves again , this time in connection with the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup.
Infantino Leaves Door Open
In viral clip posted Friday, fifa President Gianni Infantino appeared alongside popular YouTuber IShowSpeed. When asked if Ronaldo could play in the Club World cup, Infantino responded:
"There're discussions with several clubs. Ronaldo might play. Who knows? 3 weeks remain"
Multiple Clubs Interested in Ronaldo
According to Marca, 4 Brazilian giants (Botafogo, Fluminense, Flamengo and Palmeiras) have reportedly offered contracts to the Portuguese legend.
Meanwhile top Arab clubs including Al Hilal (Saudi Arabia), Al Ahly (Egypt), Esperance (Tunisia) and Wydad Casablanca (Morocco) are also exploring short term deals to secure Ronaldo's services during the tournament window.
Club World Cup 2025 Schedule
The expanded competition kicks off on 15 June with Al Ahly Vs Inter Miami and the final's scheduled for 13 Jul. With big clubs still in the market, Ronaldo’s next move remains one of the summer’s biggest talking points.
