June international break: Morocco finds a rock in defense
The latest international break proved extremely beneficial for the Moroccan national team.
On top of securing two wins—against Tunisia (2-0) and Benin (1-0)—the North African squad also discovered new talents who made a strong impression ahead of upcoming fixtures.

The big winner of this June break was none other than central defender Adam Masina, who wowed everyone with his rock-solid presence and outstanding distribution from the back.

What should you know about Adam Masina?
After experiencing family tragedy as a child in Italy, he was taken in by the Masina family.
Developed at Bologna, Masina had a stint in England with Watford before donning the jerseys of Udinese and Torino. He boasts 161 Serie A appearances, with 6 goals and 8 assists to his name.
A former Italian U21 international, he switched his sporting nationality in 2021 to represent Morocco.
