Leicester parts ways with their coach

Marti Cifuentes is no longer the manager of Leicester City. The 43-year-old Spanish tactician leaves the club following a string of poor results in the Championship.

The decision was made after Saturday's 2-1 defeat to Oxford, which proved to be Cifuentes's final game in charge. The board convened an emergency meeting on Sunday to determine his future.

Appointed this summer from QPR, after previously managing Hammarby, Cifuentes was on a three-year deal. Leicester currently sit 14th in the Championship, and the club is hoping for a fresh start under new leadership.
