Nigerian midfielder Wilfred Ndidi is attracting serious interest in this summer transfer window, as he is now available to leave Leicester City.

At 28 years old, Ndidi has a release clause set at £9 million, which can be triggered following the club’s relegation to the Championship.

Wilfred Ndidi on the radar of top clubs

According to renowned sports journalist Ben Jacobs, several European clubs are already lining up. Real Betis has shown concrete interest, while Everton, Manchester United, and Juventus are said to have opened preliminary talks in an attempt to secure his signature.

On the Saudi front, the player’s agent Emmanuel Wander confirmed in a statement to “Arriyadiyah” newspaper that Al-Ahli has officially made contact, while clarifying that negotiations are still in the early stages.

Even though Ndidi is under contract with Leicester until June 2027, the presence of a release clause makes a summer move highly likely.

Having arrived from Genk (Belgium) in January 2017, Wilfred Ndidi has made over 300 appearances for the Foxes. He notably helped the club to victory in the FA Cup and the Community Shield.
