According to the Lubumbashi native, the "Léopards" risk disqualification due to the Congolese Football Federation’s (FECOFA) failure to meet its obligations.
The sword of Damocles hangs over Congolese football following FECOFA’s denial of justice, as they stubbornly refuse to resolve a case against Vita Club, where I served as a player and later as a manager. Already, two penalties withholding 20% from the Congolese football development fund have been imposed. All authorities have been notified, and I hope the irresponsibility of some compatriots does not end up penalizing the entire nation.
FECOFA in the spotlight
The Congolese football governing body would do well to resolve the Yves Diba Ilunga case to avoid another ruling from the International Football Federation (FIFA)—a blow that could prove fatal this time.
