Liverpool: The Reds' heartfelt tribute to Diogo Jota (video)

In Sunday's friendly against Preston North End, Liverpool paid a moving tribute to Diogo Jota.

For Liverpool's first match this Sunday since the passing of Diogo Jota, the Reds and their opponents, Preston North End, came together to honor their eternal number 20 in an incredibly emotional moment. Before kick-off, supporters from both teams joined in unison to sing the iconic "You’ll Never Walk Alone".

In a scene thick with emotion, Preston captain Benjamin Whiteman laid a wreath in front of the Liverpool supporters' stand. Both teams then gathered at the center of the pitch to observe a minute's silence in memory of the Portuguese international and his brother, André Silva.

After the match kicked off, in the 20th minute, the stands at Deepdale once again erupted in song for Jota, "our boy from Portugal".
