Liverpool youngster Rio Ngumoha asked Arne Slot for more playing time after his strong cameo against Nottingham Forest in Premier League.

Bright cameo at the City Ground

Young Liverpool player Rio Ngumoha made his point after positive appearance against Nottingham Forest in Premier League.

Liverpool visited Forest at the City Ground in matchday 27 of 2025 /26 season and secured narrow 1-0 win.

Ngumoha came on in the 77 minute as substitute for Mohamed Salah and helped change the tempo in Liverpool’s favor during the closing stages.

“I Want to Make an Impact”

Speaking to ESPN, Ngumoha explained his mindset when given minutes with first team. He said he knows he must make an impact, whether on or off the ball, by pressing, defending, crossing, shooting or taking on defenders.

The young winger said his main goal is to show what he can do every time he is called upon. He made it clear that he hopes to earn more minutes soon and is ready to work hard to gain the trust of head coach Arne Slot.

Minutes key to his development

Ngumoha stressed that regular playing time is important for his progress. He said he feels that limited game time can slow his development which is why he is open to playing matches at u18 or u21 level if needed.
