The Senegalese gem Mamadou Sawane is making a name for himself with the Rio Ave U19 team.

• Trained at AFAT Thiès, he also spent time at the Senegalese "United Academy."
• During the last summer transfer window, he joined the Emirati club Elite Falcons. The transfer fee was not disclosed.
• He joined Rio Ave last January as a free agent, signing an 18-month contract.

• He can play in all three attacking positions, namely right winger, left winger, and center forward.
• He has 9 caps with the Senegal U19 national team, scoring 2 goals.
