Mamelodi Sundowns' journey in the Club World Cup
The South Africans of Mamelodi Sundowns will compete in the Club World Cup in the United States for the second time in their history.
In the group stage, they will face Fluminense (Brazil), Borussia Dortmund (Germany), and Ulsan HD (South Korea).

Back in 2016, they took part in the 13th edition, held in Japan from December 8 to December 18, 2016.

The South African giants lost in the second round to Japan's Kashima Antlers with a score of 2-0, before suffering another defeat to Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors (South Korea) 1-4 in the placement match that determined fifth place in the tournament.
Before turning their full attention to the Club World Cup, the Brazilians will aim for a second CAF Champions League crown. In the first leg of the final, they were held to a 1-1 draw by Egypt's Pyramids.
