Mamelodi Sundowns move for former Kaizer Chiefs player
Mamelodi Sundowns are reportedly pursuing TS Galaxy’s breakout defender Khulumani Ndamane as a long-term defensive reinforcement. The 21-year-old, a former Kaizer Chiefs academy product, has attracted attention following a standout debut season and his recent Bafana Bafana debut.
Ndamane joined TS Galaxy last year after excelling in Chiefs’ DStv Diski Challenge setup but failing to secure first-team promotion—a move now questioned given his rapid rise. This season, he featured in 27 matches for Galaxy, showcasing consistency that earned him a national team call-up. He made his Bafana debut in their goalless draw against Tanzania at Peter Mokaba Stadium.
Bafana coach Hugo Broos lauded the left-footed center-back, stating: “He has enormous potential. His composure, aerial ability, and physicality make him a perfect fit for top-level football.”
With Sundowns keen to secure his signature, Ndamane’s future looks increasingly bright.
