Manchester City: the perfect send-off show for De Bruyne

A jubilant Etihad, a wild match, and an unforgettable night. Manchester City swept aside Bournemouth (3-1) on Tuesday, reclaiming third place in the Premier League. But beyond the scoreline, it was the emotions, comebacks, and twists that truly defined this encounter.

From the opening minutes, the tone was set: a thunderous strike from Evanilson, a save from Kepa, and multiple chances for City. Then the spark: in the 14th minute, Omar Marmoush unleashed a stunning shot that struck the inside of the post to open the scoring. What followed? Total domination, a second goal by Bernardo Silva (38’), De Bruyne rattling the crossbar, ... and a full-on spectacle.

The second half descended into chaos. Kovacic was sent off (67’), Cook followed suit soon after (74’). In between, De Bruyne, cheered by the entire stadium, bid farewell to the Etihad, visibly moved.

The highlight of the night? The triumphant return of Rodri, eight months after his knee injury. He came on in the 83rd minute to a standing ovation. Then Nico Gonzalez (89’) produced a gem. Jebbison salvaged some pride at the death. Four goals, two reds, tears and smiles: Manchester City delivered a feast for their final home game of the season.
