A significant shift appears to be unfolding behind the scenes at Brighton. For months, the club stood firm in their determination to keep hold of Carlos Baleba, their influential midfielder. But persistent interest from Manchester United has gradually forced a change in stance.

According to information from The Sun, the Seagulls are now prepared to consider the Cameroonian international's departure—provided the right offer comes their way. Last summer, Brighton placed a hefty price tag on the young midfielder, demanding close to £100 million to even entertain the idea of a sale. When the transfer window reopens, however, the asking price is expected to be lower.

Baleba has enjoyed a steady campaign on the south coast, featuring in 29 matches across all competitions. His consistent performances and commanding physical presence in the center of the park have not gone unnoticed. Several of Europe's top clubs have registered their interest, yet it is Manchester United who appear most intent on turning that interest into a formal move.
