Manchester United: four players pushed toward the exit door

Manchester United is bracing for an especially turbulent winter transfer window. Stuck in 7th place in the Premier League and desperate for a Champions League spot, the Red Devils are under pressure to reinforce their midfield. However, after splashing out over €250 million last summer, the club is now forced to sell in order to comply with English financial fair play regulations.

According to ESPN, four players have officially been put on the market ahead of January. Kobbie Mainoo, whose contract situation remains unresolved, could be sacrificed despite being tied down until 2027. Manuel Ugarte, who has barely featured under Ruben Amorim, is also available after just two league starts.

Tyrell Malacia and Joshua Zirkzee round out this list of potential departures. Manchester United hopes to trim its wage bill and recoup funds before making moves in the winter market.
