Mercato: Idrissa Gana Gueye set for a return to Paris?

Idrissa Gana Gueye, captain of the Senegal national team, could be making a sensational comeback to the French capital in the upcoming summer transfer window.

Having reached the end of his contract with English side Everton, the Dakar-born midfielder has not received a renewal offer.

According to "footmercato", he is now on the radar of Paris FC, who will be playing in Ligue 1 next season after a 46-year absence from the top flight.

The Parisian club is working hard behind the scenes to strengthen their squad with experienced players who know Ligue 1 inside out.

For the record, the Senegalese Lion boasts 208 appearances in France's top competition, having played for LOSC Lille and PSG, with 11 goals and 9 assists to his name.

At 35, Idrissa Gana Gueye has lost none of his influence, having featured in 37 Premier League matches last season and recording 3 assists.
