Barring any surprises, Moroccan right-back Zakaria El Ouahdi is set to join German side Wolfsburg.

Rennes and Wolfsburg had both set their sights on Zakaria El Ouahdi, as we reported a few days ago. The Moroccan right-back, currently playing for Genk, is highly sought after in the transfer market. The Belgian club is demanding around €12 million.

This Friday, according to Foot Mercato, Wolfsburg has taken the lead. An agreement has been reached with the 23-year-old Moroccan for a three-year contract, with an additional year option.

The German club now needs to convince Genk and will submit a €9 million offer in the coming days.
