The global statistics site LiveScore has highlighted the achievement of Argentine captain Lionel Messi, who has etched his name even deeper into the annals of international football history by becoming the most prolific assist provider ever for a national team.
Messi surpassed the symbolic milestone of 60 assists with the Argentina national team, after delivering two more assists to his teammates during a commanding 6-0 win over Puerto Rico, played on Tuesday night into Wednesday.
