Middlesbrough wants to keep Kelechi Iheanacho
On loan from Sevilla FC since January, Kelechi Iheanacho may well remain at Middlesbrough. According to several sources close to the club, the Tynesiders’ management is eager to make the transfer of the 28-year-old Nigerian striker permanent.
The plan is clear: build a strong squad to regain promotion to the Premier League. And in this mission, Iheanacho remains a highly valued profile. His experience, eye for goal, and ability to bring teammates into play are all qualities appreciated by the coach, even if his stats remain modest (1 goal, 2 assists in 15 matches).
Sevilla reportedly wouldn’t oppose a permanent transfer. The only thing left is to agree on a fee. The former Manchester City and Leicester City striker could therefore reignite his career in a league he knows well, while becoming a major asset for a club determined to return to the Premier League.
