Mohamed Salah Close to Breaking Lionel Messi’s Record in European Leagues

Messi's record in the 2014 - 15 season in the major European leagues with Barcelona is close to being broken after Liverpool star Mohamed Salah came close to breaking it.

Salah"s been in great form this season scoring 24 goal and providing 15 assist in the English Premier League and he's managed to score and assist in 10 different matches, a feat that hasn't been achieved since messi did it.

The season's coming to end and after only 3 month, the egyptian pharaoh needs to score and assist in 2 more matches to surpass messi's record.

Messi's record breaking feat dates back to barcelona's treble winning season, when he scored 43 goal and provided 21 assist in 38 La Liga games.

According to Opta statistics, the 32 year old has contributed to 39 goal in the league this season, becoming the first player since Messi to score and assist in 10 different matches in single season in europe's top 5 leagues.
