Official: Yassir Zabiri joins Racing Santander on loan

After Yassir Zabiri arrived this winter at Stade Rennais from Famalicão, where he was a key figure in Morocco's U20 World Cup triumph, he is already leaving France.

The Moroccan international didn't make a splash in Brittany, tallying only six brief appearances and just 42 minutes on the pitch. Next season, Yassir Zabiri will be suiting up for Racing Santander.

The young Moroccan has been sent out on loan to get more playing time. Yassir Zabiri has joined the newly promoted La Liga side, where he'll be expected to help them in their fight to stay up.

"Yassir Zabiri will play for Racing Santander in the 2026/27 season, on loan from Stade Rennais until June 30, following an agreement between the two clubs. The forward was crowned U20 World Cup champion with Morocco last year in Chile and claimed the Silver Ball, awarded to the tournament's runner-up." the statement reads.
