PL: Youssef Chermiti placed on Everton's transfer list

The young Portuguese striker of Tunisian descent, Youssef Chermiti, has been placed on Everton's transfer list for the upcoming summer transfer window.

Under contract with the English club until 2027, the Santa Maria native is reportedly set for a return to Portugal, either on a permanent deal or as part of a loan move.

A highly promising player, the former Sporting Lisbon forward has seen his development hampered by a series of injuries.

This season, he was limited to just 6 appearances and 178 minutes on the pitch, failing to score or provide a single assist.

Signed in 2023 for a solid fee of €12.5 million, the 20-year-old has yet to justify that investment, featuring in only 24 matches so far.

Tunisia still keeping a close eye

The Tunisian Football Federation (FTF) remains hopeful of convincing Youssef Chermiti to switch his sporting nationality from Portuguese to Tunisian.

EXCL: Everton have already been in contact with Ipswich over Liam Delap and hope to figure out a way of paying the £30 million pound release clause over a number of years instead of one up front payment.
