Real Madrid: Arda Güler already impressing José Mourinho

Already back in training after a frustrating 2026 World Cup campaign with Turkey, Arda Güler is now gearing up for a pivotal season under José Mourinho’s guidance.

The young Turkish midfielder is entering his fourth year at Real Madrid. He is determined to use the pre-season to earn the trust of the Portuguese coach and secure a bigger role in the Real Madrid rotation. Impressed by his initial weeks working with the new Merengues manager, he said: “It’s a huge opportunity for me to work with a legend like Mourinho. He and his staff explain everything very clearly. They’re also very honest off the pitch.”

“Right now, the most important thing is working on the physical side. But it’s also crucial to listen and learn what Mourinho is asking of us so we can execute it correctly on the pitch,” the young player added.
