Barcelona does not want to start the new season without signing a new player in the goalkeeping position, especially since the first team has been suffering from weakness and confusion in this position for four seasons, and the management is under a lot of pressure from the press and media because of this position.

Recently, it was reported that Barcelona are interested in unfriendly neighbor Espanyol's goalkeeper, 24-year-old Joan Garcia, who is living his best days with RCD Espanyol and contributed to the team's survival in La Liga for the upcoming season.

Real Madrid's big offer to other clubs could delay Barcelona's offer!

According to reports, the goalkeeper has received several offers from big Premier League clubs, including Newcastle United and Manchester City, and Real Madrid are also said to be interested in the player, which could come as a big shock to Barcelona, who are very close to the player.

Several factors play a key role in the deal, firstly the player's desire, secondly the state of the goalkeeping position at Real Madrid, and the many clubs interested in the player, including Catalan giants Barcelona.

A relase clause that works for all teams!

At the heart of this summer's transfer whispers sits a €25 million question – the release clause for talented goalkeeper Álex García. Sources close to the player reveal this figure could have climbed to €30 million had Luis de la Fuente included him in Spain's senior squad, an opportunity that ultimately didn't materialize.

But money isn't García's primary concern. The shot-stopper has made it clear that regular playing time trumps all other considerations in any potential move. This non-negotiable demand has created significant roadblocks in negotiations with several top clubs.

Barcelona's interest, for instance, has stalled despite initial conversations. With Marc-André ter Stegen firmly entrenched as the Catalan club's undisputed first choice, García's camp sees limited opportunities at Camp Nou. Similarly, Real Madrid's potential pursuit faces complications given Thibaut Courtois' undisputed status as Los Blancos' last line of defense.

The situation presents a classic modern football conundrum – a talented player caught between ambition and pragmatism. As the transfer window heats up, García's future may depend on whether a Champions League-caliber club can offer what he values most: a guaranteed starting spot rather than just a bigger paycheck.
