End of an era on Merseyside

The upcoming Premier League season finale against Brentford will mark the emotional end of a historic chapter for Liverpool.

According to the club’s official website, special tribute plans have been finalized to honor Mohamed Salah and Andy Robertson who are both set to leave the club at the end of the current campaign.

The matchday 38 fixture will be their final appearance in front of the Anfield faithful bringing the curtain down on nine sensational years of dominance.

Specialized tributes across the stadium

The club revealed that spectacular banners will decorate the stands on Sunday 18 May to celebrate the immense contributions of both players.

The iconic Kop stand will take the lead in orchestrating a massive tribute for Salah ensuring the Egyptian King receives a send off fitting of his legendary status. Meanwhile Robertson will be honored by the supporters located in the Sir Kenny Dalglish Lower Stand giving fans a distinct opportunity to show their appreciation for the Scottish full back's relentless work rate.

High stakes in the final showdown

While the atmosphere will undoubtedly be charged with emotion, there is massive pressure on the pitch. The Reds cannot afford to treat this solely as a testimonial match, they desperately need all three point against Brentford to secure a top 4 spot and seal qualification for next season's Champions League.

Ensuring elite European football returns to Anfield next year will be the ultimate parting gift from the departing duo.
