These three African clubs that made a splash at the Club World Cup
The United States will host the new edition of the Club World Cup featuring 32 teams, from June 15 to July 13.
Africa will be represented by four clubs: Mamelodi Sundowns (South Africa), Espérance de Tunis (Tunisia), Al Ahly (Egypt), and Wydad (Morocco).

Here are the three best African performances in the Club World Cup to date.
Raja's silver medal
The Casablanca side made headlines in the 2007 edition, held in Morocco, by reaching the final before falling to Bayern Munich with a 2-0 scoreline. In the second round, Raja overcame Mexico's CF Monterrey 2-1, then went on to stun Brazil's Atlético Mineiro 3-1.

TP Mazembe's silver medal
The Congolese football giants became one of the standout stories of the 2010 Club World Cup, making it all the way to the final where they were defeated by Inter Milan 3-0.
Al Ahly's four bronze medals
The Egyptian powerhouse pulled off the remarkable feat of clinching the Club World Cup bronze medal four times, in the 2006, 2020, 2021, and 2023 editions.
