Transfer: Christian Kouamé moves to Greece

Christian Kouamé is leaving Italian club Fiorentina and Serie A to join Aris Thessaloniki in the Greek Super League.

In the final hours of the transfer window, Christian Kouamé found his new destination. The 2023 Africa Cup of Nations champion will continue his career in Greece. The Ivorian international, who has 30 caps, has signed a one-and-a-half-year contract with Aris Thessaloniki.

The 28-year-old Ivorian told the official website of the Greek club: "I am happy to complete my move to Aris. I will give my all for my new team and hope that we celebrate many successes with our fans in the future."

A long chapter in Kouamé's career comes to a close, having risen through the ranks of Italian football. He joined Fiorentina in 2020 from Genoa and spent six years there, making 155 appearances, scoring 11 goals, and providing 17 assists. Notably, the Ivorian striker was loaned out twice—first to Belgian side Anderlecht, then to Empoli in Serie A.

Christian Kouamé arrives in Greece bringing top-level experience, ready to help Aris Thessaloniki challenge for a top-four finish in the Greek Super League.
