Turkish club Besiktas is looking to bolster its squad in the upcoming summer transfer window by targeting Napoli’s Cameroonian midfielder, André-Frank Zambo Anguissa.

Zambo Anguissa, Besiktas’ top priority this summer

According to Italian journalist Rudy Galetti, Besiktas made an initial bid of €10 million. However, Napoli rejected the offer, demanding a fee between €18 and €20 million, with potential bonuses.

Zambo Anguissa is a top target for the Turkish side, who are eager to finalize the deal swiftly before the new season kicks off.

However, the operation faces stiff competition from Saudi club Al Qadsiah, who are also keen on signing the “Indomitable Lions” midfielder. Last year, talks had already taken place regarding a move to Saudi Arabia, but Napoli coach Antonio Conte opted to keep the player.

Last season, André-Frank Zambo Anguissa featured in 37 matches for Napoli, playing a key role in their Serie A triumph — the club’s second in history — with a tally of 6 goals and 5 assists, underlining his importance to the team.
