It is unlikely that he will see out his contract with the Saudi football powerhouse (2026) for purely sporting reasons.
According to the Saudi press, the former Napoli defender is under more pressure than ever after a series of inconsistent performances, both in the Saudi Pro League and in the Elite Asian Champions League.

The flagship club from Riyadh is considering changes to its list of foreign players for next season. The Senegalese rock is among those affected by this shake-up and is expected to be asked to find a new club during the upcoming summer transfer window.

The former French youth international was signed by Al Hilal in 2023 from Napoli for a hefty sum of 23 million euros.
