Transfer window: Moroccan international leaves Real Madrid
On the eve of their clash against Dortmund in the Club World Cup quarter-finals, Real Madrid has parted ways with a Moroccan international. The promising youngster Youssef “Yusi” Enríquez Lekhedim has been released by the club.
Frequently called up by Carlo Ancelotti to fill gaps caused by defensive injuries, Youssef “Yusi” Enríquez Lekhedim didn’t have better luck under Xabi Alonso. Even though he was selected for the Club World Cup, Yusi Lekhedim never played a single minute for Los Blancos.
The young Moroccan will now continue his career with Alavés in LaLiga for the next four seasons. The move, first revealed on the El Larguero show on Cadena SER, has been confirmed by Matteo Moretto.
Given the player’s potential, Real Madrid has protected its interests by including a buy-back clause in his contract, valid until 2027.
