Africa was well represented in the team of the week for the quarter-finals second leg of the UEFA Champions League.

Three players were selected by the statistics-specialized site whoscored, namely the Algerian Ramy Bensebaini and the Guinean Serhou Guirassy from Borussia Dortmund, as well as Achraf Hakimi, the key player of Paris Saint-Germain.

Despite his own goal, Ramy Bensebaini delivered a stunning performance against FC Barcelona in the second leg of the quarter-finals.

In turn, Serhou Guirassy made his mark in the same match by scoring a hat-trick.

Meanwhile, Achraf Hakimi scored a goal during PSG's loss to Aston Villa, with a score of 2-3 in the UEFA Champions League quarter-final return leg.

Other African players have also made an impact in this premier European competition edition, notably Ademola Lookman of Atalanta Bergamo.
