Victor Boniface already back in training with Werder Bremen

The Nigerian striker has already returned to training with Werder Bremen this week, a rapid recovery that has surprised many in Germany. A match return this weekend against RB Leipzig still seems a bit too soon, but the outlook is becoming increasingly optimistic.

Boniface, who joined on loan last summer from Bayer Leverkusen, has only played 11 league matches this season, registering 2 assists and no goals, largely due to his injury setbacks.
