The Egyptian Football Federation has appointed Dutch international referee Danny Makkelie to officiate the top-of-the-table match between league leaders Pyramids (43 points) and their closest rivals Al Ahly (39 points).
The entire refereeing team will be composed of Dutch officials: Hessel Steegstra and Jan de Vries will serve as assistant referees, while Martin Vos will be the fourth official. Rob Dieperink has been appointed as the VAR referee, assisted by Clay Ruperti.
This eagerly anticipated encounter, part of the 2nd round of the Egyptian Premier League classification phase, will take place at the Air Defense Stadium this Saturday, April 12, and will see Pyramids face off against their runner-up, Al Ahly.
