Among the selected players is Moroccan international Ismael Saibari, who has delivered outstanding performances with PSV Eindhoven over the past two seasons.

The attacking midfielder is joined by Algerian Ibrahim Maza, the young Bayer Leverkusen talent regarded as one of the most promising prospects in European football.

Opta has also picked Senegalese midfielder Lamine Camara, whose steady progress has not gone unnoticed, as well as Ghana’s Caleb Yirenkyi, who has stood out thanks to his technical skills and potential.

The list also features Ivorian Yan DiomandĂ©, one of African football’s breakout stars, thanks to his impressive displays with RB Leipzig and the Ivorian national team.

For the record, the 2026 World Cup will kick off on June 11 with an opening match between Mexico and South Africa at Mexico City’s iconic Azteca Stadium.
