Victim of a new muscular injury, the former Roma player had to leave the field prematurely during the match won by his club Al-Ittihad against Al-Riyadh with a score of 2-1, as part of the 25th round of the Saudi Pro League.

The Lyon native is expected to miss the next international break, during which the Fennecs will face Botswana and Mozambique in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.

For the record, he also missed the matches last November against Equatorial Guinea and Liberia due to the same injury.

Bad luck for the former French international who seems to be plagued with misfortune with the "Greens".

Aouar's record with Algeria

Since changing his sporting nationality, he has participated in 13 matches with the Algerian team, scoring 5 goals.
