The 2021 AFCON winner will face Sudan and Togo in the World Cup 2026 qualifiers.

A significant addition is expected for Senegal during this FIFA Day with Ilay Camara, who has decided to switch his sporting nationality from Belgian to Senegalese.

The 22-year-old has impressed with his club Standard Liège this 2024-2025 season by providing 3 assists.

He will compete with several players, including AS Monaco's Krépin Diatta, Formose Mendy, and potentially Habib Diarra, although the latter is reportedly out due to an ankle injury.

Ilay Camara will aim to make an impact ahead of the next Africa Cup of Nations, scheduled to take place in Morocco at the end of 2025 and the beginning of 2026.
