World Cup: France dreams of hosting the 2038 edition

With the 2026 World Cup now closed, all eyes are already on the future.

At the helm of FIFA, Gianni Infantino is running for re-election. He will have the backing of Philippe Diallo during the March 2027 election. However, the head of the French Football Federation is not exactly his biggest fan.

However, according to L’Equipe, the French executive, fully aware that the Swiss has no real challenger, does not want to alienate the outgoing president as France is considering a bid to host the 2038 World Cup.
