If the world football governing body approves this option, it will inevitably lead to a new allocation formula for the spots distributed to each continent.

It should be noted that the next edition of the World Cup, featuring 48 nations, will see 9+1 African teams participating.
A World Cup with 64 national teams would allow the African continent to secure at least 13 tickets.
