The young FC Barcelona sensation, Lamine Yamal, was widely praised by football observers after his dazzling display on Wednesday night in the first leg of the Champions League semi-finals.

The Spanish winger made his mark as early as the 24th minute, cutting the deficit against Inter Milan with a brilliant solo effort, just as the Italians were already up 2-0 following goals from Marcus Thuram (1st minute) and Denzel Dumfries (21st).

Nicknamed by some as “the successor to Messi,” Yamal nearly scored a second after a breathtaking run, but his shot rattled the crossbar.

With this goal, he became the youngest player in history to score in a Champions League semi-final, at just 17 years and 291 days old, breaking the record previously held by Kylian Mbappé (18 years and 140 days with Monaco).

When Thierry Henry asks for a shirt… Yamal suggests a swap!

Appearing on the CBS Sports set, French legend Thierry Henry revealed he would be attending the upcoming Clasico between FC Barcelona and Real Madrid on May 11. On this occasion, he expressed his wish to receive Lamine Yamal’s shirt after the match.

The young Spanish international quickly replied with humor: “Let’s make a deal! I’ll give you my shirt, and you give me yours—whether it’s from Barça or Arsenal… it’s your choice!”

For the record, the clash between Barça and Inter ended in a spectacular 3-3 draw. The second leg will take place next Tuesday at the Giuseppe Meazza stadium, in the western suburbs of Milan.
