Initially rumored to be on his way out, Cameroonian defensive midfielder André-Frank Zambo Anguissa could ultimately continue his journey with his Italian club Napoli.

This was just reported by the Italian newspaper "La Gazzetta dello Sport," which confirms that the player has had a change of heart, despite previously informing the club of his intention to seek a new challenge during the upcoming transfer window.

According to the same source, the “Indomitable Lion” is now keen on extending his contract with the southern club, which is set to expire in 2027.

Coveted by several Turkish and English clubs, the former Coton Sport player currently has a market value of €27 million according to Transfermarkt.

Zambo Anguissa's record with Napoli

Since joining the club in 2022, the former Olympique de Marseille midfielder has featured in 153 matches for the “Partenopei” across all competitions, tallying 11 goals and 18 assists.
