Ziyech is still searching for his next destination

Free since the end of his stint with Al Duhail, Hakim Ziyech (32 years old) remains without a club as the new season approaches.

The former Morocco playmaker, hampered by a lackluster season in Qatar (1 goal, 2 assists in 24 matches), is struggling to find a project that matches his ambitions. He was linked for a while with a move to Turkey, specifically Gençlerbirligi, then rumored to be headed to Brazil with Botafogo, but the Heerenveen academy product has yet to make a decision. According to journalist Medeiros, a return to the Gulf remains a serious option.

Ziyech still hopes to join the Atlas Lions for AFCON 2025. But to do that, he’ll need to quickly find a new environment where he can rack up minutes and regain his former influence. Time is now working against him.
