Wydad has chosen to place its trust in coach Mohamed Amine Benhachem for the Club World Cup, with the final phase set to take place in the United States from June 15 to July 13.

A high-level player
He began his professional playing career in 1994 with a first stint at Raja. Over the following years, he played for several clubs, even venturing abroad to Belgium (Royal White Star Brussels), the United Arab Emirates (Al Ahli Dubai), and Canada (Montreal Impact). Additionally, he earned two caps with the "Atlas Lions" in 2021.
A 12-year coaching career
In 2013, he started his coaching journey with AS Salé before taking charge of FUS Rabat, Chabab Mohammédia, Olympique Khouribga, Olympique Safi, Ittihad Tanger, RCA Zemamra, and others...

A successful spell with Wydad
At the end of last season, he was appointed interim coach of Wydad Casablanca, replacing South African Rhulani Mokwena. In the three matches he managed, he led the team to three straight victories against Renaissance Zemamra, JS Soualem, and AS FAR Rabat.
