2026 World Cup: earthquake rocks England's training base

Life isn't always easy at the 2026 World Cup training camps—and the one chosen by England has just experienced an earthquake.

After Switzerland, who have to train amidst snakes, England have had their own major scare, according to revelations from The Evening Standard. Well before their friendly clash against Costa Rica this Wednesday, the Three Lions were rattled by an earthquake.

A 6.1-magnitude earthquake struck the city of Orlando, reportedly leading to several evacuations. While there were no serious damages or injuries, the shockwaves radiated from an epicenter near the western coast of Cuba. This is the most significant earthquake to hit the region since 1880.
