Morocco has been selected to join a task force led by the United States, tasked with coordinating security and organizational preparations for the 2026 World Cup.

Morocco is among the countries chosen to take part in the White House Task Force on the FIFA World Cup 2026. This working group, set up by the United States, will oversee preparations for the World Cup scheduled for this summer.

The announcement was confirmed by the US Embassy in Rabat, which highlighted this collaboration on its social media channels. The initiative aims to strengthen security cooperation between all partners involved in organizing the tournament. It also comes at a symbolic moment, as Morocco and the United States celebrate 250 years of diplomatic relations.
