Algeria: Luca Zidane vents his frustration!

Long burdened by the label of "son of Zinédine Zidane," Luca Zidane has spoken out to set the record straight. The Algerian goalkeeper fully embraces his family legacy, but refuses to let his achievements be solely credited to the famous name he bears.

Luca Zidane continues to grapple with the immense legacy left by his father, Zinédine Zidane. Born in 1998, the year France lifted the World Cup, the Algerian international goalkeeper grew up under the public spotlight and constant comparisons to the legendary Les Bleus icon.

In an interview with El Chiringuito, the Granada shot-stopper insisted he handles the situation with composure:

"Being the son of Zinédine Zidane? It's part of my life, I accept it, I'm used to it, it doesn't bother me if people call me 'Zidane's son.'"

However, Luca Zidane refuses to let his career be reduced to just his surname.

"What annoys me is when people say that everything I've achieved is thanks to my father, that does bother me. But being called Zidane's son, that's fine," he concluded.
