Atalanta: Fans turn on Ademola Lookman
In the ongoing battle between Ademola Lookman and Atalanta, the Italian club's fans have turned against the Nigerian star. The insults are pouring in.
Since Sunday, the standoff between Ademola Lookman and Atalanta has taken a worrying turn. The Nigerian international lashed out at his club on social media, demanding an exit. Meanwhile, the club's director has broken his silence to explain the situation. As things stand, Ademola Lookman has refused to train with Atalanta while waiting for a resolution.
All this has pushed Atalanta supporters to turn against the 2024 African Ballon d'Or winner. The Nigerian has become the target of abuse from Dea fans. In front of the club's training center, the Goddess' supporters sent a clear message to the player with a banner.
"Enough is enough", read a banner unfurled by the ultras group "Atalanta forever until the end", as seen in a photo published by PrimaBergamo. Another message could also be seen: "Unworthy agents and ungrateful players, respect the fans and those who made you valuable."
Fans are hoping both sides can reach an agreement soon.
