This was plain to see during the June international break, which will see Cameroon’s national team face off against Uganda and Equatorial Guinea.

According to several reliable sources, the relationship between the two power players in Cameroonian football remains completely broken.

It goes without saying that coexistence between the two sides is nearly impossible for several reasons, not least of which is their oversized egos that prevent either from making the first move.

This standoff could have serious consequences for the national team’s performance, with just weeks to go before crucial World Cup 2026 qualifiers and the final phase of the Africa Cup of Nations (Morocco CAN 2025).
