CAN 2025: Walid Regragui already under pressure
With just a few months to go before the kickoff of the Africa Cup of Nations (CAN 2025), Morocco's head coach Walid Regragui is already feeling the heat.
Under contract with the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF) until 2026, the former Wydad Casablanca coach might leave his position prematurely.

He confirmed this during an interview on the Spanish television show "El Chiringuito".
Of course, I might not make it to the 2026 World Cup if our national team doesn't win the next Africa Cup of Nations.
The long drought of Morocco
The North African team has been unable to break its jinx in Africa's flagship competition at the national team level.

Since their triumph in the 1976 edition held in Ethiopia, Morocco has been unable to lift the CAN trophy.
A meager record for a great footballing nation that made waves at the last World Cup, finishing the tournament in 4th place.
