CAN U20: Huesca goes hunting for a South African gem

Several scouts from European clubs are present in Egypt to follow the U20 Africa Cup of Nations.

Numerous rising stars have caught the eye in the group stage of the U20 AFCON, notably Sierra Leonean striker Momoh Kamara, who netted four goals in four matches.

Likewise, South African forward Thabang Mahlangu has drawn the attention of Spanish side Huesca, who are considering signing him in the upcoming summer transfer window.

According to soccerladuma, representatives from the Iberian club were impressed by the young striker’s performance in the continental tournament.

What should you know about Thabang Mahlangu?

Despite limited game time (just 7 minutes), he managed the remarkable feat of scoring a brace in the match against Sierra Leone in Group A.

At 19 years old, he has featured in 6 matches for his club SuperSport United this season without finding the back of the net.
