CAN U-20: Who will DR Congo face in the quarter-finals?

The Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) will find out on Friday who their opponent will be in the quarter-finals of the Africa U-20 Cup of Nations.

The "Léopardeaux" will take on the team that tops Group A, which could be Sierra Leone, Zambia, or South Africa.

As a reminder, the Congolese side finished third in Group C after collecting 4 points. In their opening match of the tournament, they were held to a 1-1 draw by Ghana, then defeated the Central African Republic 3-1, before ultimately falling to Senegal 2-0.

The Léopardeaux are still chasing their first ever triumph in the continent’s premier youth competition. In their previous appearances, in 1989 and 2013, they were knocked out in the group stage.
