Champions League: Evan N’Dicka, Kojo Peprah Oppong and the Africans in Fenerbahçe-Roma
Fenerbahçe’s return to the Champions League also provides a special occasion for the African representatives in both squads. Evan N’Dicka, with AS Roma, and Kojo Peprah Oppong, with Fenerbahçe, are among the continent’s players involved in this clash in Istanbul.
An Ivory Coast international, Evan N’Dicka plays an important role in AS Roma’s defense. Born in France and having represented France at youth level, the centre-back chose to represent Ivory Coast at senior level in 2023. He subsequently played a part in the Elephants’ triumph at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, which they won at home in February 2024.
After joining Roma in 2023 from Eintracht Frankfurt, N’Dicka gradually established himself as an important member of the Italian side’s defense. He is part of Roma’s squad registered for this season’s Champions League campaign.

Oppong, Fenerbahçe’s Ghanaian representative
